As Managing Director of an international road safety company, I lead our global strategy to improve road‑user safety, reduce collisions, and deliver evidence‑based solutions across diverse regions. With over 25 years’ experience, I guide programmes aligned with the Five Pillars of Road Safety — road safety management, safer roads, safer vehicles, safer road users, and post‑crash response. My work focuses on combining innovation with cultural relevance, ensuring that every initiative we deliver is technically robust, locally meaningful, and truly life‑saving. Arthur j. Carpenter

As Research Director at a leading road safety organisation, I specialise in turning data-driven insights into practical strategies that reduce risks on our roads. With extensive experience in transport safety, behavioural research, and evidence-based policy development, I lead projects that help organisations, communities, and governments make informed decisions that save lives. As Cultural Director of an African road safety organisation, I lead the integration of cultural understanding into road‑safety strategy, training, and community engagement across the region. My role brings together social insight, behavioural knowledge, and local context to ensure that every safety intervention resonates with the communities we serve. I work closely with directors, educators, first‑aid trainers, and policy specialists to shape programmes that reflect the values, realities, and lived experiences of African road users. By bridging technical knowledge with cultural relevance, I help design initiatives that are not only effective, but truly embraced by the people they are built for. My work includes strengthening community partnerships, supporting the development of locally‑led training, and ensuring that our road‑safety projects — from first‑aid training to public‑awareness campaigns — are grounded in respect, representation, and long‑term empowerment.
